November 3, 2014

Good afternoon, all!

1. Quote of the month: "What would you do if you weren't afraid?" --Sheryl Sandberg.

Fun news.  I've decided that this month is going to be all about stepping out of my comfort zone--"no-fear-November."  We all have our day to day dullnesses and comfort traps (example: lying in bed in sweatpants and a high bun, eating a block of cheese in front "Friday Night Lights" seasons 1-5), and I want to escape these little routines by engaging in new, more exciting activities.

Obviously, I can't take off to Morocco tomorrow...  I'm thinking more of things like trying that hot yoga class I never thought I could do, attempting to cook that soup recipe I always thought I'd botch, working on that hard book I feared I would never finish (Infinite Jest -_-)... and just giving it a try.  The change doesn't have to be huge, just a small step into the no comfort zone.  I think it could be a huge life enhancer.  Join me? #nofearnovember.

Beyond that, the things that are bringing me joy & inspiration this month...

2. Meticulously organized work spaces.  I recently cleaned out my desk area and replaced old organization styles with new ones.  Some of the designs that inspired my reorganization... I enjoy the organized picture frames, flowers to add a splash of color, fun organization kits and colorful tools.  Here are some additional ideas.

3. Candles on candles to help relax after a long day of work.  We all are in a busy, stressful time of year.  I find that lighting a few candles when I get home is a nice way to de-stress.

4. Warm drinks!  Lattes, hot chocolate, tea, anything!

5. Creative pizza combos.  Give me your ideas!  Some of my new favorites include apple slices, pineapple, prosciutto, peppers, chickpeas, fig... anything different from what I've had before.

6. Rings.  I love this bumble bee, the moonstone, and these midi rings.

7. Weekend trips.  I have been all over the place in the past few weeks -- Vermont, Nebraska, a few different places in Massachusetts.  Of course, I have carried an incredible travel bags -- the large Sac H GM Kilim.  I especially enjoy this piece because it is one of my favorite colors.

8. The GORGEOUS style of the wrap coat.  In whitemaroon, with a big bag... I love it all.

I'm looking forward to this new month, #nofearnovember, and I hope you join me.  Happy November, and thanks for keeping up with the blog :)
