Happy October, everyone!!  One of my favorite months -- autumn being all pretty, apples, pumpkins, Halloween... the list goes on.  Here are some of the things that are inspiring and bringing me joy this month...

1. Quote of the month: "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only.  Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." --Coco Chanel

2. The beautiful Fall weather in Boston, obviously!

3. Orange.  One of my favorite colors.  Whether it is in the stunning foliage, pumpkins, or in my soup, I am all about the season of orange.

4. Fall knits to keep warm -- scarves, turtlenecks, etc. -- a fun way to accessorize that I realized I missed over the spring and summer.

5. Autumn reads -- any recommendations, friends?  Just finished GONE GIRL... Anyone excited for the movie?!  Here are some cute reading spaces to dream about curling up with a book in: a bookshop in Paris & dream home.  And below is a cute space I discovered this month (Cafe Nero on Washington Street).

6. Yoga!  Nothing is more fulfilling than an hour of yoga.  It gives me balance after I have had an hour with my favorite yoga instructor Stephanie Schott at Milton Yoga (Friday nights 6:15pm) and Radiant Yoga (Wednesdays 6:30am).  Come join me! 

7. My Ann Singh Collection Marie Bag.  I have been carrying the oxblood & brown variation lately. 

8. Wearable trends.  Now that NYFW is over, I'm excited to embrace the new hot styles.  My favorites are the the wrap coat, the color red,monochromatic tan, and the plaid.  Which ones are you most excited to try?

9. The Museum of Fine Arts' "Hollywood Glamour," is a must see!  Always nice to support our local museums and a little perk, Wednesday after 4pm = FREE admission! 

10. Thinking about the modern history of fashion.  Did you know that Coco Chanel invented trousers?  My personal favorite innovations are the little black dress and the wrap dress.  Planning a day out with friends at Chanel's beautiful store on Newbury Street this month. 

11. Trunk shows!  I have three coming up in October.  My first one is at VanaVainVintage for Boston Fashion week (at Forum restaurant on Boylston on October 6th!), which I am really excited for.  Others include Jamestown, MA, and Lincoln, Nebraska!  Tune into my Instagram feed, or sign up for my newsletter here to stay up to date on these fun events.  Here's to a fantastic start to Fall, everyone!
